When Kerry and Ayden brought over 70 of their favourite people together at Santorini Gem, it felt less like a destination wedding and more like a huge, loving family reunion. Originally from the UK and now living in Dubai, they travelled to the island with their two children, who stole everyone’s hearts from the very start.

Having helped so many of their family with accommodation and transfers throughout the stay — and gathered everyone for a welcome dinner at Madame Sousou — it did not take long before we felt as though we had known them all for years.

Their ceremony was set against a spectacular backdrop, where Kerry and Ayden exchanged vows on a raised podium framed by a burst of colourful flowers, later repurposed to dress the dinner tables. The vows were deeply emotional and touched every guest there, and the feeling carried straight through to the speeches, where Ayden stole the evening with powerful words for his family and his new wife.

When night fell the mood turned to pure celebration. Armed with equipment from Santorini Wedding Wonderland, their cousin Nile took over the decks and kept a set going that had everyone — from the youngest guest to the oldest — on the dance floor all night.
